About Lise

Hi, I’m Lise,

Most of my days are a blend of music, family, and horses. I stay very busy, and I’ve had to work very hard at being intentional slow. Dealing with chronic illness all my life has forced me to slow down and opened my eyes to the beautiful little things that are really the only things life is about. I’m a full time psychiatric music therapist, which means I get to see firsthand the power of art and creativity in helping people heal and reconnect with themselves and their own beautiful little things.

At home, life is just as full and entertaining as at work. My husband, our 6 year old son, our dog Issy, and our horses keep me grounded and laughing (most of the time). Dressage riding is my favorite way to recharge – and horses have taught me more about life than any other medium. I ride dressage – a mix of discipline, presence and partnership that feels a lot like life itself.

This space is where I share pieces of the beauty and wisdom I am finding along the way along with little tips and tricks at how to stay intentional slow in a world that continues to through lifeless connections at us in the name of fullfillment.

Thanks for being here,

Lise
